This workshop helps government agencies, non profit organisations, and private companies to orient themselves to better support community capacity. It provides agencies and organisations with clear processes to engage with communities and form effective community partnerships.

The workshop:

  • explores the role of government and other agencies in supporting community renewal,
  • outlines the approaches needed in agencies to build a greater community capacity role,
  • describes new forms of accountability that can better measure community capacity outcomes,
  • provides the principles and processes of good community engagement,
